recommend a crown if your tooth has enough decay
that it cannot hold a filling, or if your tooth is
cracked or broken and in danger of cracking down
into the root if left unattended. A crown covers
your tooth completely. It fits snugly at the gum and
protects what remains of the natural tooth. |

| Dr. Antanesian may recommend a bridge be
utilized to replace one or more teeth. These
restorations are cemented onto the teeth and are
referred to as "fixed" dentistry as opposed to a
restoration of missing teeth with a removable
appliance or partial denture. |

| Implants |

| If you are missing one or more teeth, you'll
want replacements that are as natural as possible.
If dentures don't work for you, you may consider
dental implants. Unlike dentures, which can be
removed, implants are permanently anchored into the
jaw itself. |

candidate for implants if you have jawbone ridges
that are in good shape and healthy oral tissues.
When the implant device is inserted into the jaw, a
chemical and mechanical bond is formed. The jawbone
actually grows into the implant. |

perfect fit, and they will look and feel as good as
(or better than!) your original teeth. |
